Jules Verne

The nursery takes its name after the famous character Phileas Fogg, from Jules Verne’s acclaimed classic adventure novel Around the World in 80 Days (written in 1873 in France).

Phileas Fogg is an amiable, courageous, well-mannered intelligent and kind person who embarks on an adventure, overcoming obstacles and discovering about the world throughout his journey.

At our school, we aim to instil these qualities in children and encourage them to discover the world through languages.

The book and the character are loved by all parents and children alike, and are a part of many families' essential reading.
